Pay and get paid
Send money. Request it. Pay online.
Send to someone you know, ask them to pay you, or pay at checkout. You confirm the amount before money moves.

What you can do
Three things, one account. Open any of them to see how it works.
Send
Send money
Pay a person with their email. The money leaves your PayPal balance after you confirm the name, amount, and any fee.
Request
Request a payment
Ask someone to pay you. Add a note so they know what it is for. When they pay, it lands in your balance.
Checkout
Pay online
Choose PayPal at checkout, review the seller, and pay from your balance. The receipt stays in Activity.
How it works
1
Open your account
Sign up with your email and a password. You can log in as soon as the account is ready.
2
Add money
Move funds into your balance so you can send and pay. You always see what is available.
3
Confirm, then it moves
Check who you are paying and the total. If you do not confirm, nothing is sent.
Personal
For you
Split a dinner, pay a friend back, or shop online. Your balance, requests, and activity live in one personal account.
Business
For your business
Get paid by customers and send money to the people you work with, from one business account.
Security
Sign-in protection, a confirmation step, and a way to report a payment that looks wrong. PayPal will not ask for your password by email or phone.
Fees
You see the amount, any fee, and the total before you confirm. Currency conversion is shown on that same screen.
If something goes wrong
Start in Activity, find the payment, and tell us what happened. We review it and reply in your account.
